Serampore MLA Bhaskar Bhattacharya visited the Rishra Municipality on Friday afternoon, where he was welcomed by Municipality Chairman Vijay Sagar Mishra.

During a meeting held at the municipal conference hall, the MLA interacted with councillors in a cordial atmosphere. He provided several important directions to the municipality chairman, vice-chairman, councillors and officials regarding the overall development of Rishra town.

During the session, Bhaskar Bhattacharya also demonstrated to municipal employees how to fill out the forms for the Annapurna Bhandar scheme. He instructed them to ensure that forms are filled properly in the same manner while assisting residents.

The MLA said that all public representatives must work together for the comprehensive development of the town. He expressed hope that Rishra Municipality would witness rapid progress in the future and emerge as a better and more developed urban centre.

Meanwhile, Municipality Chairman Vijay Sagar Mishra said that all directions given by the MLA would be followed sincerely. He assured that the municipality would continue working towards transforming Rishra into a more developed and better-equipped town.

Discussions were also held during the meeting on improving infrastructure, civic amenities and public services in the city.
