Lucknow,

28 May (HS): Bahujan Samaj Party National President and former Chief Minister

Mayawati extended greetings on Eid al-Adha. In her congratulatory message

released on Thursday, she said that this holy festival gives us the message of

sacrifice, brotherhood, and humanity. During the four-term BSP rule, there was

prosperity in every home, peace in every heart, and prosperity in every

locality. We have to restore that state. The BSP remains committed to its

all-encompassing government.

Today,

when the country is being rife with hate politics, pitting brother against

brother, this message of Eid becomes even more important. She said that Baba

Saheb's Constitution teaches us that every citizen in this country is equal,

regardless of their religion or caste. We are against the politics that seeks

votes by dividing people on the basis of temple-mosque issues. We stand with an

India where Eid, Diwali, and Holi are celebrated together. May India remain

united and strong.
