
New Delhi, May 28 (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid tribute to great revolutionary and prominent nationalist thinker Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, popularly known as Veer Savarkar, and former Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister and legendary actor Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao on their birth anniversaries. The Prime Minister said that Veer Savarkar’s courage and patriotism would continue to inspire generations. He remembered both Veer Savarkar and NTR Garu in heartfelt posts on X.
Prime Minister Modi wrote, “Respectful tributes to the great revolutionary and eminent nationalist thinker Veer Savarkar Ji on his birth anniversary. His personality, filled with courage and intellectual brilliance, will continue to inspire every generation of the nation.”
The Prime Minister also shared a Sanskrit verse along with his post:
“अनन्तोद्भूतभूतौघसङ्कुले भूतलेऽखिले।
शस्त्रे शास्त्रे त्रिचतुराश्चतुरा यदि मादृशाः।।
The verse highlights the importance of bravery, valor, and knowledge within an individual. Its essence conveys that if even a few people in society are skilled in both knowledge and warfare and possess courage, they can bring about powerful and positive change in a world filled with countless challenges.
He further wrote, “Remembering Veer Savarkar on his birth anniversary. His courage and patriotism will always inspire people. His intellect and emphasis on social reform are also particularly noteworthy.”
The Prime Minister also remembered NTR Garu in his message. He wrote, “Humble tributes to the great NTR Garu on his birth anniversary. He is fondly remembered for his dedication to public welfare and good governance. He ensured a life of dignity for the poor and underprivileged. His contribution to cinema continues to captivate generations even today. His life and ideals remain an endless source of inspiration. The NDA government in Andhra Pradesh, under the leadership of my friend Chandrababu Naidu Garu, is fully committed to fulfilling the dreams and aspirations he cherished for the people.”
