28 May (HS): On Thursday, Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav criticized

the BJP administration in Uttar Pradesh for the state's electricity crisis, claiming

that the much-touted Gujarat model had failed. In a post on X,

Yadav stated that the transformer of the 'Gujarat model' in Uttar Pradesh had

blown. Sparks are emitted from forcibly linked wires. Electricity meters are

running even when there is no electricity and the people is following BJP

officials around.

Targeting

the BJP leadership even further, the former Uttar Pradesh chief minister

stated, The trainers of big leaders have failed, so what can be expected

of their disciples? He also said that many were doubting the BJP's crisis

reaction.

The

people wondering why BJP officials lift their hands in surrender anytime an

issue comes, Yadav said in his post. The statements came amid opposition

criticism of electricity-related concerns in areas of Uttar Pradesh during the

current summer season. Yadav also posted a news item about the failure of Uttar

Pradesh Energy Minister AK Sharma, a former Gujarat cadre IAS officer, to

manage the state's electricity issue.
