New Delhi, 26 May (H.S.): Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla will on Thursday (May 28) release the first issue of the Delhi Legislative Assembly’s quarterly journal ‘Vidhan-Chetna’ and a historic compilation of 89 volumes of the Central Assembly proceedings (1924–1930). Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs and Minority Affairs Kiren Rijiju will attend the event as the chief guest.

The ceremony will be held under the chairmanship of Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta, according to information released by the Delhi Assembly on Tuesday.

Delhi Government’s Minister for Legislative Affairs Pravesh Sahib Singh, Deputy Speaker Mohan Singh Bisht, several MLAs, and professors from Delhi University will also be present at the event.

The joint launch holds significant intellectual value for researchers, legislators, and citizens. The 89-volume compilation of the Central Assembly proceedings (1924–1930) provides a detailed record of a transformative phase of pre-independence governance and parliamentary discourse in India.

These archival records preserve important discussions, debates, and constitutional perspectives of the then Indian representatives, offering a valuable insight into the evolution of legislative thought and democratic processes.
