Nagar/Lucknow, 23 May (HS): Kapil Dev Agarwal, Minister of State (Independent
Charge) for Vocational Education, Skill Development, and Entrepreneurship,
inspected the Government Industrial Training Institute, Pandunagar, Kanpur
Nagar. During the inspection, he took a close look at the various businesses
operated at the institute, the training facilities, and the available
resources. Minister Kapil Dev Agarwal interacted with the trainees and gathered
information about their skill development, training experience, and future
employment prospects. He encouraged the students to become self-reliant through
technical education and to develop their skills to meet the needs of industry.
During the
inspection, Minister Agarwal listened seriously to the problems encountered at
the institute and, after conducting an on-site inspection, directed the
concerned officials to resolve them promptly. He said that providing trainees
with a better training environment, modern resources, and quality facilities is
among the state government's top priorities.
In addition,
Minister Agarwal also reviewed the records and files related to the ongoing
construction work on the institute campus. He directed that the construction
work be ensured with quality, transparency, and timely completion, so that
students do not face any inconvenience in the future.
He said that the
objective of skill development institutes is not just to provide training, but
also to empower youth by providing them with employment-oriented and practical
knowledge, making them self-reliant. All training institutes need to work more
effectively in this direction. During the inspection, Joint Director R.K.
Maurya, Principal Harish Mishra, Principal Mayank Mishra, Media Incharge Ajay
Kumar Dwivedi, Sandeep Kumar, Mohit Srivastava along with departmental officers
and employees were present.
