Guwahati, 23 May (HS): AICC General Secretary and Rajya Sabha MP Randeep Singh Surjewala is scheduled to appear before the Assam Police Crime Branch on Saturday in connection with an ongoing investigation linked to allegations made by Congress leader Pawan Khera.

According to reports, the Crime Branch summoned Surjewala after Pawan Khera allegedly mentioned his name during questioning by investigators. The development comes amid the probe related to controversial allegations against Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma’s wife, Riniki Bhuyan Sarma in Assam assembly election period.-----------
