Nagar/Lucknow, 23 May (HS): State Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises Minister

Bhupendra Chaudhary held a detailed review meeting with department officials at

the Directorate of Industries and Enterprise Promotion, Kanpur. At the

beginning of the meeting, Commissioner and Director of Industries K. Vijayendra

Pandian welcomed the minister and the guests present and gave a presentation on

the departmental structure and the progress of various schemes.

The review meeting

included a detailed review of several employment-oriented and enterprise

promotion schemes, including the Chief Minister's Youth Entrepreneur

Development Campaign, the Chief Minister's Youth Self-Employment Scheme, the

ODOP Margin Money Scheme, the Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme,

the Vishwakarma Labour Honor Scheme, the ODOP Training and Toolkit Scheme. The

progress of the Flatted Factory Complex, the Common Facility Center, the ODOP

Common Facility Center, and the Pledge Scheme was also discussed.

Minister Bhupendra

Chaudhary said that micro, small, and medium enterprises are the backbone of

the state's economic development, and the benefits of these schemes should

reach the last person. He directed that the schemes be widely publicized to

involve as many people as possible in both rural and urban areas, and that new

employment opportunities for youth be created by promoting small industries.

He directed for

quick resolution of problems arising at the banking level in

employment-oriented schemes and asked all the officers to pay special attention

to achieving 100% targets of the schemes and generating maximum employment. The

achievements of Uttar Pradesh MSME Promotion Policy-2022, targets for the

financial year 2026-27 and budgetary provisions were also discussed in detail in

the meeting. Along with this, information was also shared on the progress of

the proposed “Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel Industrial and Employment Zone” and “One

District One Cuisine” scheme. The meeting concluded with the vote of thanks by

the Commissioner and Director of Industries. Member Legislative Council Santosh

Singh was also present on this occasion.
