Four members of a family died tragically in a horrific road accident that
occurred during wee hours in Jhaansa village of Fatehpur police station area of
the district. The condition of the woman injured in the accident remains
critical. Due to power outage, the family was sleeping on the roadside outside
the house when the accident occurred. At around 2 o'clock in the night, a
speeding, uncontrolled dumper reached near the village. The uncontrolled dumper
first hit a tree standing on the roadside and then crushed the family sleeping
outside. Hearing the screams, the villagers ran and took the injured to the
district hospital.
Doctors declared Neeraj (35 years), his sons Anurag
(13 years), Anshu (6 years) and Anshika (10 years) dead. Wife Aarti (35 years)
was referred to Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia Institute of Medical Sciences, Lucknow as
her condition was critical. Deceased Neeraj used to run a Magic van for rent to
support his family. After the accident, the dumper driver fled leaving the
vehicle. Police have seized the dumper and started searching for the driver.
The four deaths at once have spread mourning in the village. There is anger among
the villagers.
Fatehpur CO Jagatram Kannaujiya said that the
deceased, Neeraj, supported his family by driving a rented Magic van. Due to a
power outage, everyone was sleeping outside the door. After the accident, the
dumper driver abandoned the vehicle and fled. Police have seized the dumper and
launched a search for the driver. All four bodies have been sent for
post-mortem examination, and Aarti has been sent to Lohia Medical College in
critical condition. After this incident, there is mourning in the village due
to four deaths simultaneously.
