New Delhi, May 20 (H.S.): Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan arrived in Dehradun on Wednesday, where he paid tribute to former Uttarakhand Chief Minister and former Union Minister B. C. Khanduri by visiting his residence.

Remembering the late leader, the Vice President said that Major General B.C. Khanduri was an exceptional leader, a distinguished soldier and an experienced administrator who dedicated his entire life to the service of the nation and its people.

He stated that Khanduri’s contribution towards strengthening the country’s road infrastructure and improving connectivity would always be remembered. According to the Vice President, his style of functioning, integrity and development-oriented vision would continue to remain an enduring legacy in India’s growth journey.

It is noteworthy that Major General B.C. Khanduri passed away in Dehradun on Tuesday morning at the age of 92. His demise has triggered a wave of grief across political and social circles.

After serving in the Indian Army as a Major General, Khanduri entered politics and played a significant role in the development of Uttarakhand during his tenure as Chief Minister. He was widely respected for his clean public image and administrative capabilities.
