New Delhi, May 20 (H.S.): The Central Government has launched the Bharat Tex 2026 mobile application to provide participants with a seamless and digitally enabled experience at the upcoming Bharat Tex exhibition. The app offers features such as event information, meeting scheduling, digital identity badges, contact exchange, and AI-based assistance.

The app was launched on Wednesday in the national capital by Secretary of the Ministry of Textiles, Neelam Shami Rao. She said the application will enable participants to search exhibitors, schedule meetings, receive venue navigation guidance, access knowledge sessions, and obtain real-time updates during the event.

The Ministry stated that the key highlight of the app is its AI-powered smart assistant, which will provide 24x7 interactive support. Users will be able to ask questions in simple language and receive instant information regarding the programme schedule, venue details, timings, and other relevant updates.

The app also includes networking and meeting modules to facilitate direct interaction between exhibitors and buyers. In addition, a QR-based contact exchange feature will allow participants to scan digital identity cards and securely save contact information.

Notably, the Bharat Tex 2026 exhibition will be held at Bharat Mandapam from July 14 to 17, and is expected to attract more than 7,000 international buyers and over 1,30,000 trade visitors. The event will showcase India’s entire textile value chain, including fibre, yarn, fabric, apparel, home textiles, technical textiles, handicrafts, handlooms, sustainable textiles, and smart manufacturing technologies.

Bharat Tex 2026 is being organised by the Bharat Tex Trade Organisation, comprising 11 textile export promotion councils and industry bodies. The event is inspired by the Prime Minister’s “5F Vision”—Farm to Fibre to Factory to Fashion to Foreign—and aims to position India as a reliable, sustainable, and innovation-driven global textile destination.
