New Delhi, May 19 (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday shared a Sanskrit Subhashita (wise saying) and said that Mother Earth considers the whole of humanity as one family.

In a post on X, Prime Minister Modi said, “Mother Earth is the universal teacher of the entire human race. For her, the whole world is like one home, where every culture holds its own importance and deserves equal respect.”

Explaining the meaning of the Sanskrit verse —

“जनं बिभ्रति बहुधा विवाचसं नानाधर्मान् पृथिवी यथौकसम्।

सहस्रं धारा द्रविणस्य मे दुहं ध्रुवेव धेनुरानपस्फुरन्ति ॥”

— the Prime Minister said that Mother Earth embraces people speaking different languages and following diverse religions and traditions as members of a single family.

He further stated, “May this Earth bless us with thousands of streams of prosperity, just as a calm and loving cow nourishes with milk.”

The Prime Minister’s message highlighted the Indian civilisational philosophy of unity in diversity and harmony among cultures, faiths, and traditions across the world.
