New Delhi, 14 May (H.S.): Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has co-authored the book Apnapan with Prime Minister Narendra Modi, drawing from 35 years of shared experiences. Former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu and former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda will release the book at Pusa on May 26.
During a press conference at his residence on Thursday, Shivraj Singh spoke about his book Apnapan, stating that it will provide readers an opportunity to understand Prime Minister Modi's personality, leadership, sensitivity, and work style with greater intimacy.
He revealed that his association with Prime Minister Modi spans over 35 years. This relationship, which began with the 1991 Ekta Yatra as an organizational worker, evolved into opportunities to work together in various responsibilities as Chief Minister and later as Union Minister.
Shivraj remarked that while the world views Prime Minister Modi as a decisive and influential leader, he has closely observed in him the persona of a seeker, a karmayogi, and an individual entirely dedicated to the nation's interests. He noted that even after working late into the night, Narendra Modi stands for the country the next day with the same energy, the same clarity, and the same commitment.
Shivraj Singh clarified that Apnapan is not merely a narration of events but a document of an idea, a vision, a methodology, and the spirit of nation-building that dared to transform India. Through this book, readers will get the closest glimpse of the journey from organization to governance, from empathy to decision-making, and from resolve to achievement.
