New Delhi, 14 May (H.S.): The new footover bridge (FOB) built to facilitate passenger movement between Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station and Sarai Kale Khan Namo Bharat Station has been opened to the general public.

According to Northern Railway, passengers traveling between the two stations can now use this modern facility. Approximately 300 meters long, this footover bridge has been constructed keeping passenger convenience and safe movement in mind. Railway officials stated that it takes about 4 to 5 minutes to cover the entire length of the FOB. The bridge provides direct connectivity between Hazrat Nizamuddin Railway Station, Sarai Kale Khan Namo Bharat Station, and the Ring Road area.

For passenger convenience at Sarai Kale Khan Namo Bharat Station, disabled-friendly lifts, escalators, and directional signboards have been installed.

Additionally, six 65-meter-long moving walks or travelators have been set up, with three in each direction. Adequate lighting arrangements have been made on the FOB, its entry gates, and pedestrian pathways. For security, the entire footover bridge area is under CCTV surveillance.

Railway authorities have also arranged five ticket counters for UTS tickets and one inquiry counter towards Hazrat Nizamuddin Station. For passenger convenience, QR codes for ticket booking information via the Rail One Super App and eight ATVM machines have been installed.
