
New Delhi, 14 May (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with foreign ministers and senior representatives from BRICS countries and other partner nations on Thursday. He held meetings with Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov, Brazil's Foreign Minister Mauro Vieira, South Africa's Foreign Minister Ronald Lamola, Iran's Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi, Ethiopia's Foreign Minister Gedion Timotheos Hessebon, Indonesia's Foreign Minister Sugiono, and other representatives.
Foreign Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar is chairing the two-day meeting of BRICS foreign ministers, ongoing at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi on May 14-15. This year's theme is Building Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation, and Sustainable Development. It reflects India's growing diplomatic activism and the group's focused approach to strengthening strategic, economic, and multilateral cooperation.
During this time, foreign ministers and senior representatives from Russia, Iran, Indonesia, UAE, South Africa, Ethiopia, and other BRICS partner countries were welcomed.
