Agreement between Adani Airport Holdings and IHG Hotels & Resorts

New Delhi, 14 May (H.S.): Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL) and IHG Hotels & Resorts signed an agreement on Thursday for five hotels. Through this partnership, IHG's luxury lifestyle brand 'Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants' will also enter the Indian market.

Adani Airport Holdings Limited stated in a release that AAHL and IHG Hotels & Resorts have entered into an agreement for a five-hotel portfolio. Under this agreement, approximately 1,500 rooms will be added at major airports and commercial sites in India. This will also mark the entry of IHG's luxury lifestyle boutique brand 'Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants' into the Indian market.

According to AAHL, these hotels will be developed under airport-linked hospitality and mixed-use development projects in Jaipur, Mangaluru, Thiruvananthapuram, and the Mumbai metropolitan area. The company stated in the release that this portfolio will include the Kimpton Hotel in Jaipur, along with Holiday Inn and Holiday Inn Express properties in upcoming airport city projects linked to airports operated by Adani.

AAHL said this agreement comes amid tremendous growth in India's aviation and tourism sectors, where developments around airports are rapidly emerging as major hospitality and commercial hubs. The primary reasons are the increasing number of passengers, rising domestic tourism, and growing demand for business travel.

AAHL stated that it is developing airport city projects spanning approximately 663 acres in major cities as part of its strategy to create an integrated urban ecosystem combining aviation, hospitality, retail, and commercial infrastructure.

Pranav Adani, Director of Adani Enterprises Limited, said the aim of this partnership is to create integrated travel and hospitality destinations around India's expanding aviation network. He added, As the Adani Group expands in hospitality and airport-based urban infrastructure, our vision is to build world-class destinations that seamlessly connect travel, stay, and urban experiences with India's rapidly growing aviation ecosystem.

Meanwhile, Sudeep Jain, Managing Director of IHG Hotels & Resorts for South-West Asia, said this partnership highlights the growing opportunities in India's hospitality sector, especially in airport-linked developments. He stated, This partnership with Adani Airport Holdings underscores the significant opportunities we continue to see in India's hospitality sector, particularly in major cities and airport-linked developments, where there is tremendous demand from business, leisure, and transit travelers alike.
