The Congress party released a revised list of eight candidates on Wednesday for the second phase of the West Bengal Assembly elections, overhauling seven previously announced nominees.
Issued by General Secretary K.C. Venugopal, the list features significant changes: Tahir S.K. replaces Golam Kibria Mandal in Nakashipara; Asif Khan replaces Rahidul Mandal in Chapra; Pranab Bhattacharya is the new face for Habra; Sunayana Biswas replaces Barnali Naskar in Minakhan (SC); Chand Sardar takes over from Kaushik Baidya in Mandirbazar (SC); Pampa Malik replaces Anik Saha in Raina (SC); S.K. Abu Bakar replaces Mofirul Kasim in Ketugram; and Tapas Baral replaces Nisha Baral in Ausgram (SC).
