New Delhi, 06 April (H.S.):

The mother of Sahil Dhaneshra, killed in a February Dwarka road accident, petitioned the Delhi High Court for a Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe or court-monitored investigation by Delhi Police, alleging investigative lapses.

Justice Saurabh Banerjee's bench will hear the matter today (April 6). The plea claims Delhi Police investigation serves the accused and accomplices to shield them.

Petitioner states submitted evidence remains unverified. She challenges Juvenile Justice Board orders: the minor accused showed no remorse when produced February 4; granted bail February 10 without notice to family. Accused's father and associates allegedly influence proceedings.

On February 3, Sahil rode a motorcycle when a high-speed SUV driven by a minor,collided violently, completely wrecking the bike. A second cab driver sustained grievous injuries.
