West Bengal, 05 April (H.S.): Despite continuous rainfall, Bharatiya Janata Party candidate from Goghat Assembly constituency, Prashant Digar, carried out an intensive election campaign on Sunday.

Heavy showers continued across the Arambagh subdivision since morning, but that did not deter Digar, who campaigned with party workers and supporters in the Bali Naya Bazar area.

During the campaign, Digar launched a sharp attack on the Trinamool Congress, claiming that although a few of its party offices are still functioning, none would remain open anywhere in the state after May 4.

He further asserted that a major political change is imminent in West Bengal once the election results are declared.

Taking a dig at Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, he made a controversial remark, stating that “after the 4th, the Chief Minister will no longer remain in the state and will leave the country.”

His statement has already sparked intense discussions in political circles.
