Kochi, 04 April (H.S.): Senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi will arrive in Kerala once again on Saturday to intensify the United Democratic Front’s (UDF) election campaign, with just four days remaining for the close of public campaigning.
Rahul Gandhi is scheduled to participate in four public events across three districts during his visit, aiming to energise party workers and consolidate support for UDF candidates in the final stretch of the campaign.
According to the itinerary, he will arrive in Kochi at around 10 a.m. by a special flight. From there, he will travel to Alappuzha, where he will address his first public meeting of the day. The rally is expected to draw significant crowds as the UDF looks to strengthen its position in key constituencies.
Following the Alappuzha programme, Rahul Gandhi will proceed to Kattappana in Idukki district for another campaign engagement. His visit will then shift focus to Ernakulam district, where two major public meetings have been scheduled.
In Kochi, Rahul Gandhi will campaign in support of Congress candidate Mohammed Shiyas, while in Kunnathunadu, he will address a gathering backing candidate V P Sajeendran. Party leaders believe his presence will provide a crucial boost to cadre morale and voter mobilisation efforts.
Throughout his campaign speeches, Rahul Gandhi is expected to launch sharp attacks against both the CPI(M)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF) and the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), positioning the UDF as a viable alternative for governance in Kerala.
With the campaign entering its decisive phase, the Congress leadership is banking on Rahul Gandhi’s outreach to galvanise voters and reinforce the party’s prospects ahead of polling day.
