New Delhi, April 30 (H.S.): Defence Minister Rajnath Singh stated Thursday at a national security summit in New Delhi that Operation Sindoor delivered a clear global message: no terror act will be tolerated under any circumstances. He cited surgical strikes, air strikes, and Operation Sindoor as proof of the government's firm resolve against this threat. Singh emphasised that terrorism stems from perverse thinking, often justified by giving it religious colour or linking it to violent ideologies.

India's Stance on Terrorism

Rajnath Singh asserted terrorism arises from warped, erroneous ideology—a stain on humanity. The fight against it transcends national security; it safeguards core human values against barbaric thought that defies every civilised norm.

India has articulated this perspective domestically and globally. Terrorism spans operational, ideological, and political dimensions, requiring a comprehensive response across all fronts.

As long as terrorism persists, it challenges peace, progress, and prosperity for all. Justifying it through religious lenses or violent ideologies like Naxalism proves highly dangerous, providing terrorists cover fire to advance their agendas stealthily.

Pakistan's Role and Operation Sindoor

On Pakistan's sustained support for terrorism, Singh noted both nations gained independence simultaneously, yet India excels in information technology worldwide while Pakistan remains the epicentre of international terrorism.

Singh hailed Operation Sindoor as a stellar example of joint armed forces coordination. The Army, Navy, and Air Force operated seamlessly under one plan, establishing India’s military as an integrated, global power rather than siloed entities. During the operation, India ignored provocations or nuclear threats, achieving all objectives. This reflects a resolute India that draws no distinction between terrorists and their sponsors.
