
New Delhi, 03 April (H.S.): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Friday announced its list of 27 candidates for the Tamil Nadu Assembly elections. Union Minister Dr. L. Murugan has been fielded from the Avanashi constituency.
According to the BJP, former Telangana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan will contest from Mylapore. The list also includes national Mahila Morcha chief Vanathi Srinivasan and state president Nainar Naganendran.
Notably, K. Annamalai's name is absent, as he has already declined to contest.
Tamil Nadu has 234 Assembly seats, with the BJP allotted 27 seats under the alliance agreement. Polling is scheduled for April 23, with results on May 4.
