Hooghly, 03 April (H.S.): Amid the West Bengal Assembly Elections 2026, BJP candidate Debashish Mukherjee carried out a public outreach campaign in Dankuni on Friday, receiving warm support and blessings from local residents. A large number of people came out of their homes to greet him, indicating a positive response on the ground.

During the campaign, Debashish Mukherjee criticized the ruling party over the lack of modernization of Chanditala Hospital, stating that no significant development had taken place in the past 15 years. He remarked that “one must know how to work,” while assuring better public services if elected.

He also highlighted his tenure as Vice Chairman, claiming that he had worked extensively for the welfare of the people during that period. Taking a dig at his opponents, he said that he is unfazed by attacks from “timid councillors.”

As part of his campaign, he walked door-to-door, interacting directly with residents and promising to ensure better delivery of services at the grassroots level.

The strong turnout and engagement of local residents during the campaign suggest growing support for the BJP candidate in the Dankuni area.
