Guwahati, 03 April (HS): Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s scheduled election rally in Gauripur was cancelled on Friday due to a technical snag in his helicopter, officials said.
According to sources, Shah, who is on a two-day visit to Assam, was slated to address a public meeting in Gauripur this afternoon. However, the programme had to be called off following the unforeseen helicopter issue.
Despite the cancellation of the physical rally, Shah is expected to address the public remotely via phone.
On the first day of his visit, all scheduled programmes of the senior BJP leader were conducted smoothly across various locations. Friday marks the second day of his Assam tour, during which he was scheduled to attend multiple campaign events.-----------
