New Delhi, 03 April (H.S.):
Tensions within the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) have intensified following the removal of Rajya Sabha MP Raghav Chadha as the party's deputy leader in the House, triggering sharp exchanges among party leaders.
In a video statement released Friday, Chadha described the move as an attempt to silence him, asserting, I've been silenced, but not defeated. He questioned why his voice was being suppressed, emphasizing his consistent focus on public issues like inflation, expensive airport food, delivery workers' problems, adulterated food, tolls, and banking woes.
Delhi state president Saurabh Bharadwaj hit back via a video on X, accusing Chadha of avoiding major political issues. Bharadwaj criticized Chadha's silence on Gujarat worker arrests, Arvind Kejriwal's arrest, and other critical matters, urging fearless opposition against the government.
National media coordinator Anurag Dhanda also attacked Chadha, claiming he had become fearful and prioritized trivial issues like cheaper samosas at airport canteens over national concerns such as West Bengal voting rights and Gujarat arrests. Dhanda noted Chadha refused to sign a CEC resolution and stayed silent during a House walkout.
