Mumbai, 24 Apr (HS): Nashik’s fraudster Ashok Kharat
has been again remanded to three-day police custody on Friday. He was presented
in the court for another offence registered against him, Kharat is in police
custody since his arrest on March 17. He was presented in the court through
video conferencing.
The Government Pleader stated that Kharat had
sexually exploited in his office situated at Canada Square after giving him
some liquid and sweet which made her unconscious. Kharat then sexually
exploited the woman. She was also threatened of his father’s murder, if she
reveals the incident. Kharat’s lawyer raised strong objection to his police
custody, which is being extended unnecessarily. However, the Government Pleader
stated that the Special Investigating Team has not received satisfactory
replies to its queries. The court ruled out Kharat’s arguments and granted
Kharat three days police custody.
