April 24 (HS): On the 52nd anniversary of Ramdhari Singh 'Dinkar's
death, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath paid homage to the great
Hindi poet, saying he constantly strove to awaken society to fight,
independence, self-respect and human values. On
the death anniversary of Ramdhari Singh 'Dinkar', a strong voice of national
awareness, Adityanth posted on X a simple memorial called 'Rashtra Kavi'. He
stated that 'Dinkar' ji's dynamic literary endeavor constantly strived to
awaken society to the principles of struggle, independence, self-respect, and
humanity.
The
chief minister remarked that Dinkar's priceless poetry works continue to
inspire future generations. In another tweet, Adityanath stated that the
three-day Rashmirathi Festival was opened in Lucknow on Friday in the presence
of Union Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, commemorating the diamond jubilee year
of Dinkar's immortal masterpiece 'Rashmirathi' on his 52nd death anniversary.
This
is a fantastic opportunity to renew our cultural awareness and ideas of
equality and peace. On this day, he announced, a memorial book, 'Dialogue with
Rashmirathi', will be issued. I shall attend the occasion and pay tribute to
the brave ideas of national poet Dinkar ji, Adityanath stated. Ramdhari Singh,
often known as Dinkar, was born on September 23, 1908 in Bihar's Munger
district.Dinkar's key book Rashmirathi (1952) earned him the Padma Bhushan in
1959. He died in Chennai on this day at the age of 66.
