New Delhi, 20 April (H.S.):
The Centre for Development of Telematics (C-DOT), under the Department of Telecommunications, has taken an important step toward strengthening cybersecurity awareness in India by signing an agreement with Jumps Automation LLP to develop an innovative game-based cybersecurity training platform.
The agreement was concluded under C-DOT’s collaborative research programme.
According to the Union Communications Ministry, C-DOT Chief Executive Officer Dr. Rajkumar Upadhyay, Jumps Automation Technology Head Rohan Chandak, board members and other senior officials were present at the signing ceremony.
The platform to be developed under this initiative is expected to make traditional cybersecurity training more engaging, interactive and effective. It will include gaming-based modules, leaderboards, a learning management system, discussion forums and real-life scenario-based exercises.
These realistic scenarios will cover challenges such as phishing, social engineering, malware response strategies and crisis management. The platform is designed to help organisations and users better understand cyber threats and build the ability to respond to them effectively.
A key feature of the platform will be its advanced performance evaluation and reward system. It will also incorporate an artificial intelligence-based analytics engine that will assess user performance, adjust training difficulty according to individual skill levels and keep the content updated in line with new and emerging cyber threats.
C-DOT CEO Dr. Rajkumar Upadhyay described the initiative as an important step toward realising the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat. He said the platform would prepare users to identify cyber threats and deal with them effectively.
Rohan Chandak of Jumps Automation said the platform would make cybersecurity training more interactive and impactful, leading to positive behavioural change among users and a reduction in human-induced cyber risks.
