Guwahati, 17 April (HS): Assam Advocate General Debojit Lon Saikia on Friday stated that the government side will begin presenting its arguments in the Zubeen Garg murder case from today, following the completion of the charge framing hearing.

He informed that hearings on charge framing against seven accused persons have already been completed. The process had been underway for the past 15 days, during which the court examined the charges in detail before proceeding to the next stage.

Saikia further said that a technical issue had been raised by some advocates representing the accused regarding the sanction granted by the Central Government to conduct an inquiry in Singapore. However, the Assam government has already addressed and clarified the issue, allowing the case proceedings to move forward without further impediment.-----------
