Guwahati, 17 April (HS): Beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana (PMUY) will soon be required to complete their e-KYC process to continue availing LPG cylinder benefits. Officials have stated that failure to complete the e-KYC formalities may lead to disruption in the supply of cooking gas.

Highlighting the importance of the process, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) Chief General Manager Amarjyoti Bordoloi informed that the e-KYC verification is mandatory for all PMUY consumers. The move is aimed at ensuring transparency and proper identification of genuine beneficiaries under the scheme.

He further explained that customers can complete the e-KYC process through multiple methods, including visiting their nearest LPG distributor, using Aadhaar-based authentication, or through authorized digital platforms. Consumers have been urged to complete the process at the earliest to avoid inconvenience.

The IOC official also emphasized that awareness campaigns are being carried out to assist customers in completing the procedure smoothly.-----------
