
Mau, April 17 (HS): Uttar Pradesh Urban Development and Energy Minister AK
Sharma inaugurated the newly constructed office building of the Adarsh Nagar
Panchayat Madhuban in Mau district. Reiterating his commitment to the overall
development of the area, he said the government is fully committed to
developing Madhuban into a model city. Describing the occasion as a new
beginning for the local administration and the public, he called for
accelerating development work.
Minister Sharma stated that this building, constructed at a cost of
approximately Rs. 65 lakh, was constructed with high quality and at a low cost.
He praised the officials and directed them to continue working with similar
responsibility to provide better facilities to the public. He announced that
all roads in the Madhuban area would be repaired and interlocking work would be
done along the roads. He also announced that other infrastructure would be
developed on a priority basis, strengthening the overall infrastructure of the
area.
In his address, the Minister described agriculture-based industries as the
key to Madhuban's development and announced the establishment of a farmers'
market, an agricultural market, cold storage, and mini-cold storage. He stated
that this would not only provide better prices to farmers but also increase
local employment opportunities. He also shared plans to develop an industrial
park on the land of the Pardah Mill, which has been closed for years, which
would boost industrial activity in the area. He expressed confidence that
through the coordination of agriculture and industry, Madhuban will become a
new symbol of development in the future. At the conclusion of the program,
Chairman Aarti Malla and representative Prashant Malla, also known as Ganesh
Malla, expressed gratitude to all the guests and attendees.
