Saharanpur,

April 14 (HS): Pankaj Chaudhary, the BJP's Uttar Pradesh unit head, said on

Tuesday that the Narendra Modi government's policies and initiatives are

bringing BR Ambedkar's vision of social peace and upliftment to life. Addressing

a gathering in Saharanpur on Ambedkar's birth anniversary, Chaudhary stated

that the Constitution and Ambedkar's path continue to guide governance, and

that since 2014, the Centre has worked to meet the needs of the poor under the

slogan Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas. Prime

Minister Modi attended the event to dedicate the Delhi-Dehradun Economic

Corridor to the country, a project aiming at improving connectivity between

Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.

Chaudhary

characterized the corridor as a significant boost for Saharanpur and the

surrounding areas, stating that it will improve development and connection with

Uttarakhand and the national capital. He also assailed opposition parties

without identifying them, stating that despite their claims to respect

Ambedkar, he was not awarded the Bharat Ratna for decades after his death. The

BJP ensured that Babasaheb received proper recognition, and the administration

is now working for the benefit of the underprivileged in accordance with his

values, he stated. Chaudhary emphasized infrastructure growth, stating that

Uttar Pradesh already has a substantial portion of the country's expressway

network, and the inclusion of the new corridor will hasten development.

He

stated that the state has witnessed a transition since 2017 under Chief

Minister Yogi Adityanath and the leadership of Modi at the Centre. Uttar

Pradesh was formerly renowned for anarchy, but it has since emerged as the

country's development engine, he said, saying that some organizations are

attempting to mislead the people. He asked people to remember the state's

status before 2017 while making political judgments, claiming that changes in

governance and development are obvious.
