Bhubaneswar, 14 April (H.S.): Amid ongoing political discussions surrounding a possible BJD-Congress alliance, BJP state president Manmohan Samal has called for unity among opposition parties, emphasizing its importance for a healthy democratic system.
Speaking on the issue, Samal stated that the coming together of all opposition parties to form a strong collective force would be a positive sign for democracy. However, he refrained from commenting directly on the potential alliance between the Biju Janata Dal (BJD) and the Congress, describing it as their internal matter and not appropriate for the BJP to comment on.
He further underlined that a strong and effective opposition is crucial for the smooth functioning of democracy. The opposition, he said, should not engage in criticism for its own sake but instead offer constructive suggestions and contribute positively to governance.
