Bhubaneswar, 11 April (H.S.): The Regional Directorate of Education (RDE), Bhubaneswar, has issued a directive to all government, aided, unaided, and professional colleges under its jurisdiction to constitute Internal Complaints Committees (ICC) and submit compliance reports within a stipulated timeframe.

In an official letter issued by Regional Director of Education Dr. Saroj Laxmi Singh, institutions have been instructed to form ICCs in accordance with government guidelines to address complaints and grievances of students and staff.

The directive applies to all higher educational institutions, including those under the 488 and 662 categories. Colleges that have not yet formed their ICCs are required to constitute the committees and submit a copy of the report to the RDE office either by hand or via post within seven days of the issuance of the letter.

Institutions that have already established ICCs have also been asked to submit relevant documentation within the same timeframe.

The RDE has cautioned that failure to comply with the directive may result in restrictions on admissions for the 2026–27 academic session or other appropriate action as deemed necessary.

Describing the matter as urgent, the Regional Director has urged all institutions to act promptly and ensure compliance within the stipulated deadline.
