New Delhi, 11 April (H.S.):
Delhi Public Works Department (PWD) Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh conducted on‑the‑spot inspections of roads, drains, and traffic‑jam‑prone spots while travelling in a bus as part of the ‘Government on Wheels’ campaign. Accompanying him were PWD officials and officers from several other departments.
In a post on the social media platform X, Minister Parvesh Sahib Singh said that even on Saturday, a holiday, the government is stepping out into the field and working on the ground. He travelled from the PWD headquarters through the MSO Building, Moolchand, AIIMS, Chattarpur Metro, Nelson Mandela Marg, Munirka Flyover, and Vivekanand Marg, all the way to Hyatt Regency, observing every ground‑level reality.
Wherever he noticed negligence or deficiencies, he gave officials immediate and strict directions on the spot, making it clear that delays and laxity in work will not be tolerated. The exercise is part of the larger ‘Government on Wheels’ drive under which senior officials from multiple departments review key infrastructure corridors in a single vehicle to ensure better coordination, accountability, and faster grievance redressal.
