New Delhi, 11 April (H.S.):
Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri will undertake a pivotal visit to Paris (France) and Berlin (Germany) from April 12-14, co-chairing high-level Foreign Office Consultations to advance bilateral agendas.
In Paris, Misri will join French Foreign Ministry Secretary General Martin Briens for the India-France dialogue, deliberating on defence, civil nuclear energy, space, cyber and digital domains, AI, innovation, people-to-people ties, and cultural exchanges, alongside recent global and regional developments.
Shifting to Berlin, he will co-chair with German Foreign Secretary Dr. Gesza Andreas von Gierke, covering trade and investment, defence and security, technology, green energy, development cooperation, education, interpersonal relations, and mutual interests in global-regional affairs.
Misri is also slated to engage other dignitaries and senior officials in both capitals. This outreach follows German Chancellor Friedrich Merz's January visit and French President Emmanuel Macron's February trip to India, exemplifying sustained high-level exchanges with Europe.
The tour offers a prime occasion to holistically review India’s comprehensive bilateral ties with both nations and propel cooperation in priority domains.
