
Hooghly, 11 April (H.S.): The Bharatiya Janata Party stepped up its election campaign in Arambagh on Saturday, with state leader Shamik Bhattacharya leading a massive roadshow in support of party candidate Hemanta Bag.
The roadshow began from the party office in Daulatpur and passed through various parts of Arambagh town, drawing enthusiastic participation from party workers and supporters. Several areas resonated with BJP flags and slogans, while locals gathered along the roadsides to witness the procession.
Addressing a public meeting later, Bhattacharya launched a sharp attack on the state government, criticising its policies and governance. He called for change in the upcoming elections and urged voters to support the BJP candidate.
Hemanta Bag, who was also present, assured the public of development in the region and pledged to stand by the people.
The event has further intensified the political atmosphere in Arambagh ahead of the polls, with parties ramping up their campaign efforts.
