Vice President Radhakrishnan Launches Updated Sindhi Constitution on Sindhi Language Day

New Delhi, 10 April (H.S.):

Vice President C. P. Radhakrishnan released the updated version of India's Constitution in Sindhi today, coinciding with Sindhi Bhasha Diwas, rendering it accessible in both Devanagari and Persian scripts for the first time since Independence.

At a ceremony in the Vice President's residence, Radhakrishnan emphasized the language's pivotal role as a beacon of resilience and unity post-Partition. He described the publication as a cornerstone for linguistic inclusivity, empowering citizens to engage with constitutional tenets in their mother tongue, thereby fortifying democratic participation and institutional trust.

Union Minister of State for Law and Justice (Independent Charge) Arjun Ram Meghwal echoed this, terming the initiative a milestone that amplifies India's linguistic tapestry, constitutional literacy, and vision for an inclusive republic, bridging foundational values to every citizen.

Among attendees were Rajasthan Assembly Speaker Vasudev Devnani and Lok Sabha MP Shankar Lalwani, underscoring the event's cultural and legislative resonance on this observance of Sindhi heritage.
