New Delhi, 10 April (H.S.):
Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Prahlad Joshi showcased an innovative imported electric stove on Friday, highlighting its ability to generate gas-like flames using electricity, potentially revolutionizing household cooking and reducing reliance on Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG).
In a post on X, Prahlad Joshi recounted a demonstration by an Indian firm on Thursday, praising the technology's ingenuity. This electricity-powered stove produces LPG-style flames—truly impressive and groundbreaking, he noted, urging domestic manufacturers to license and mass-produce it locally.
He envisioned synergy with the PM Surya Ghar scheme, which incentivizes rooftop solar installations for free electricity, positioning the device as a transformative tool to curtail LPG dependency and advance clean energy adoption nationwide.
