New Delhi, 10 April (H.S.):
Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday invoked an ancient Sanskrit aphorism to underscore the paramount virtue of composure and judicious reasoning in navigating life's gravest trials, urging the nation's youth to harness such fortitude for collective advancement.
In a poignant post on the social media platform X, PM Modi extolled the indomitable spirit of India's younger generation, affirming that their resolute ambitions propel the country toward accelerated progress. He shared the subhashita:
“Vyāsane vā arthakṛcchre vā bhaye vā jīvanāntake। Vimṛśan vai svayā buddhyā dhṛtimān nāvasīdati॥”
This maxim elucidates that one who maintains equanimity—reflecting deeply through personal intellect amid affliction, financial straits, terror, or mortality's brink—remains unperturbed. Measured deliberation in tranquility safeguards against sorrow and setback.
PM Modi framed this timeless wisdom as emblematic of mental resilience, positioning it as a cornerstone for youth-led nation-building in an era demanding unwavering determination.
