Lucknow,

08 March (HS): On International Women's

Day (IWD) 2026, UP Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath reiterated his commitment to

women's safety, dignity, and empowerment through Mission Shakti and

anti-Romeo squads, claiming that women are now safe in Uttar Pradesh. He urged

women to be courageous, follow great ideas, and take the lead in creating a

developed state.

Security & Empowerment: According to CM Yogi,

clear policy and intention have made the state safer for girls than it was

before 2017.

Encouraging Leadership: He urged women to not only

participate, but also lead in the development of Uttar Pradesh, assuring that

government policies will empower their goals.

Women's Role in Development: According to the CM, a

safe environment for women is closely related to the state's success,

underlining that where the daughter is safe, progress occurs.

Focus on Self-Sufficiency: Recent studies on women's

entrepreneurship in the state show that the government's actions, including

funding for female companies, have enabled women to take leadership. For the

2026 celebration, the government will continue to prioritize rights,

justice, and action for women, in line with worldwide efforts to increase

legal safeguards and enforce women's rights.

His post on X, reads as follows: “My respected

citizens of the state, the role of women is most important in building a strong

society. The government is determined to ensure the safety, dignity, and

self-reliance of half the population. Respected daughters of the state, you

need neither fear anyone nor dream small dreams. Various government schemes are

giving wings to your dreams. Don't limit yourself to mere participation in the

goal of a 'developed Uttar Pradesh,' but play a leading role. Heartfelt

greetings to all the citizens of the state on International Women's Day.”
