Prayagraj, 08 March (HS): In today's
fast-paced life, the Sangam city is witnessing a commendable initiative to
prioritize women's health. Every evening, a large group of women gather in the
city's famous Dilkusha Park, not only engaging in physical exercise but also
finding mental peace. The initiative is spearheaded by yoga teacher Shaheen.
Health is improving with free service: For some time now, Shaheen has been
offering free yoga and aerobics training to women at Dilkusha Park. Her primary
goal is to improve women's health and raise awareness about health risks. A
large number of housewives and working women are attending these evening
classes.
A blend of yoga and aerobics: Shaheen believes that women often neglect their
health due to the dual responsibilities they face at home and outside. Her
training sessions are characterized by a blend of traditional yoga and modern
aerobics.
Yoga: For mental peace and flexibility.
Aerobics: For heart health and weight
loss.
Excitement among women: Women exercising in the park report significant
benefits from these evening sessions. Since they are free, women from all walks
of life are able to participate. Many women have reported relief from blood
pressure, stress, and joint pain.
Shaheen says, My goal is to build a healthy society, which starts with
women's health. When a woman is healthy, the entire family is healthy.
