
New Delhi, 06 March (H.S.):
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for various development projects worth approximately ₹33,500 crore in Delhi on March 8. He will also address a public rally on the occasion.Before the main event, PM Modi will visit General Pool Residential Accommodation (GPRA) Type-5 quarters in Sarojini Nagar and hand over keys to women allottees.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate and lay foundation stones for Delhi Metro projects costing around ₹18,300 crore. These include two new corridors: the 12.3 km Majlis Park-Maujpur Babarpur (Pink Line) and 9.9 km Deepali Chowk-Majlis Park (Magenta Line). These lines will enhance connectivity for areas like Burari, Jagatpur-Vazirabad, Khajuri Khas, Bhajanpura, Yamuna Vihar, Madhuban Chowk, Haiderpur Badli Mor, Bhalaswa, and Majlis Park.
Additionally, PM Modi will lay foundation stones for three new corridors under Delhi Metro Phase-5 (A), totaling 16.10 km: R.K. Ashram Marg-Indraprastha, Aerocity-Indira Gandhi Airport Terminal-1, and Tughlakabad-Kalindi Kunj Marg. These will improve access between key NCR areas, Noida, South Delhi, and the airport.
PM Modi will also launch and lay foundation stones for GPRA redevelopment projects worth ₹15,200 crore across Sarojini Nagar, Netaji Nagar, Kasturba Nagar, and Shrinivaspuri. These initiatives will deliver over 9,350 modern flats and 48 lakh sq ft of office space, boosting administrative efficiency for government employees.
