A two-day National Women's Thinkers Conference (Mahamanthan programme) titled ‘Bharati’ will be held on March 7-8 to highlight women's empowerment and their role in nation-building for public awareness.Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta will inaugurate the event, while President Droupadi Murmu will grace the valedictory session at Vigyan Bhavan in the capital.
The conference, themed 'Bharati - Nari se Narayani', will feature Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Women and Child Development Minister Annapurna Devi, Minister of State Jitendra Singh, Rashtrasevika Samor Committee's chief patron V Shanta Kumari, Sadhvi Ritambhara, and others.Around 1,500 women thinkers from across India will participate, with over 200 experts invited as key speakers.
Special sessions are planned for women MPs, women vice-chancellors of universities, and women saints, including a Sadhvi Sangam.Organized jointly by Bharatiya Vidvat Parishad, Rashtrasevika Samiti, and Sharanya, deliberations will cover eight key themes: Vidya, Shakti, Mukti, Chetna, Prakriti, Sanskriti, Siddhi, and Kriti.
Under Vidya, discussions will address women's higher education, girls' dropout issues, and incorporating self-defense in curricula. Shakti will focus on self-reliance and financial literacy, while Mukti will explore measures against domestic violence and social stereotypes.Organizers stated the conclave aims to elevate women from family units to the pivot of nation-building. Suggestions emerging from discussions will be forwarded to relevant Indian government departments for implementation.
Rashtrasevika Samiti's chief pracharak Sita Gayatri remarked that in India, women and men are viewed as complementary, not competitive—now is the time for women to embrace leadership alongside maternity and duty.
