
Thiruvananthapuram , 06 March (H.S.): In a proud moment for Kerala, S. Shruthi, a Malayali candidate, secured the 18th rank in the Civil Services Examination results announced by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) on Friday.
A total of 958 candidates have qualified in the prestigious national-level examination this year.
At the national level, Anuj Agnihotri emerged as the topper, securing the first rank in the examination. Rajeshwari Suvey secured the second rank, while Akash Dul finished third. Raghav Junjunwala obtained the fourth rank, and Ishan Bhatnagar secured the fifth position.
The candidates placed between sixth and tenth ranks include Sinnia Arora, A.R. Raja Mohaiyuddin, Pakshal Sekrathri, Asta Jain, and Ujwal Priyank.
Apart from Shruthi, several other candidates from Kerala also figured in the list of successful aspirants. Sreeja, a native of Thiruvananthapuram, secured the 57th rank in the examination. Ajay Raj from Kozhikode achieved the 109th rank, while another Malayali candidate, Siddharth M. Joy, secured the 271st rank.
The Civil Services Examination conducted by the UPSC is considered one of the most challenging competitive examinations in India. Every year, lakhs of aspirants appear for the exam, competing for limited vacancies in the country’s elite administrative services, including the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and Indian Foreign Service (IFS).
Candidates can check their results on the official UPSC websites upsc.gov.in and upsconline.nic.in.
The declaration of the results marks the end of the rigorous multi-stage selection process comprising the preliminary examination, mains examination, and the personality test (interview). Successful candidates will now undergo training before being inducted into various central services of the Government of India.
