28 March (HS): On the ninth day of Chaitra Navratri, Bihar Deputy Chief
Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha along with his wife reached Vindhyachal Dham and
performed darshan and puja in the court of Maa Vindhyavasini as per the
rituals. After arriving in Vindhyachal by train from Bihar on Friday, he
entered the temple's sanctum sanctorum late at night and offered prayers at the
feet of the Mother Goddess. During this, he offered oblations in the havan kund
amidst chanting of Vedic mantras and prayed for the happiness and prosperity of
the country and the state. The entire puja ceremony was conducted by Acharya
Vikas Shukla.
After the
darshan and puja, the Deputy Chief Minister spent the night in Vindhyachal. On
Saturday morning, after remembering the Mother Goddess again, he departed for
his destination. In view of the Deputy Chief Minister's arrival, strict
security arrangements were made in the temple complex and surrounding areas.
Police and administrative officials remained vigilant throughout, ensuring a
peaceful darshan and puja.
