Yogi leads Shri Ram Janmotsav celebrations at Gorakhnath Temple
Gorakhpur, 27 March (HS): Gorakhpeethadhiswar and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath celebrated the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Ram with due rites on the grand festival of Shri Ram Navami on Friday afternoon.

27 March (HS): Gorakhpeethadhiswar and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi

Adityanath celebrated the birth anniversary of Lord Shri Ram with due rites on

the grand festival of Shri Ram Navami on Friday afternoon. He worshipped Lord

Shri Ram, performed aarti, and gently rocking the child form of the Lord, Ram

Lalla, in a cradle, praying for the welfare of the people. On this occasion,

the temple premises reverberated with hymns dedicated to Lord Shri Ram.

After

completing the Kanya Pujan ritual at Gorakhnath Temple on Friday, on the ninth

day of Vasantik (Chaitra) Navratri, Chief Minister Yogi reached Ram Darbar

located in the temple premises. Here he worshipped the revered idols and

performed aarti. The child form of Lord Ram was placed in a cradle decorated

with flowers. As soon as it was 12 noon, he worshipped Ram Lalla seated in the

cradle amidst chanting of Vedic mantras. After applying tilak and garlanding

the idol of the Lord, aarti was performed. After completing the puja ritual,

Yogi gently rocked the child form of the Lord in the cradle with devotion.

The Chief

Minister then proceeded to the stage of the temple complex's open-air theater.

Here, he ritually worshipped Lord Shri Ram, seated in a cradle, and gently rocked

him. On the stage, he offered flowers to the portraits of Lord Ram, Guru

Gorakhnath, Mahant Digvijaynath, and Mahant Avedyanath. On the occasion, the

Chief Minister prayed to Lord Shri Ram for the happiness and prosperity of the

people of the state.
