Bhadrachalam (Telangana), March 26 (H.S.): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday laid the foundation stone for the first phase of expansion of the historic Sri Seetharamachandra Swamy Temple at Bhadrachalam at an estimated cost of ₹351 crore.

According to officials, the project includes development of the Godavari Ghat at a cost of ₹75 crore, expansion of the temple infrastructure at ₹180 crore, and development of the surrounding temple area at ₹96 crore.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, Ministers Konda Surekha, Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy, Tummala Nageswara Rao and Vakiti Srihari, along with MPs, MLAs and MLCs, were present on the occasion.

Later, the Chief Minister offered pattu vastrams (silk robes) and pearls to Lord Sri Sita Ramachandra Swamy on behalf of the State government during the Sitarama Kalyanam held at Mithila Stadium as part of Sri Rama Navami celebrations. He also participated in the celestial wedding ceremony.
