Gorakhpur,
26 March (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said on Thursday that technology
can exponentially accelerate the pace of development. It can transform our
momentum into progress. Keeping this in mind, the state government has launched
several programs. The budget has focused on technology. In the last nine years,
the state has achieved unprecedented development in every sector.
Chief
Minister Yogi Adityanath was addressing the inauguration ceremony of the
Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) Gorakhpur Center at the Gorakhpur
Industrial Development Authority (GIDA) on Thursday. He said that when we don't
adopt technology, or avoid it, we are not competitive. And, when we are not
competitive, instead of progressing, we are headed for ruin. We must not go
towards progress, but rather follow progress. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath
said that our youth have a lot of talent. When we combine their talent with technology,
they are able to develop their talent at a much faster pace. This is what Prime
Minister Narendra Modi has done in the country in the last 11 years. Chief
Minister Yogi said that India has the largest youth population in the world.
Here the youth had talent but the governments before 2014 did not give
importance to it. No effort was made to convert the aptitude into skill, no
platform was provided. The result was that the youth used to get discouraged,
used to migrate. There was disappointment in the minds of the youth. But, after
2014, changes are being seen in every field one by one.
STPI will
give new wings to the dreams of the youth: The Chief Minister said that the
STPI Gorakhpur Center will give new wings to the dreams of the youth of
Gorakhpur and Eastern Uttar Pradesh. The biggest feature of the Software
Technology Park is that the person running a startup will go there with only
his computer. He does not have to worry about space, electricity connection or
other public facilities. This model has been successful everywhere in the
country and the world where software technology is making its presence felt. It
is being started for the first time in Gorakhpur.
Eastern
UP's first Centre of Excellence to be inaugurated on April 15: The Chief
Minister said that Eastern Uttar Pradesh's first Centre of Excellence will also
be inaugurated on April 15 in Gorakhpur. This Centre of Excellence has been
established in Maharana Pratap Institute of Technology (MPIT). All these
programs show that now the youth of Eastern Uttar Pradesh will be able to
showcase their talent on the global platform, not only in hardware but also in
software. He said that as a result of promoting the startup culture in the last
11 years, more than twenty thousand startups are working in Uttar Pradesh and
half of these are being run by women.
Center of
Excellence for Green Hydrogen Energy to be built in MMMUT: Describing Green
Hydrogen Energy as the energy of the future, the Chief Minister said that the
government is building a Center of Excellence for Green Hydrogen Energy in
Gorakhpur's Madan Mohan Malaviya University of Technology (MMMUT). Rs. 50 crore
have been made available for this. Green Hydrogen Energy is going to be a
medium to ensure that we do not have to depend on any other country for energy.
The CM said that we had gone to Japan. We have had talks with Japan. Green
Hydrogen Technology is in a very advanced stage in Japan. We will take this
program forward by meeting them.
Centers of
Excellence are being developed based on potential: The Chief Minister stated
that centers of excellence are being developed in Uttar Pradesh based on the potential
of each sector. The process of establishing a Center of Excellence for Meditech
at IIT Kanpur and another Center of Excellence at SGPGI Lucknow has been moved
forward. Funding has been provided to develop Centers of Excellence for Leather
in Kanpur, Drone Technology in Kanpur, and Robotics in Noida and Greater Noida.
The government, in collaboration with the World Bank, is working on agritech
projects in 28 districts of eastern Uttar Pradesh and seven districts of
Bundelkhand to explore where technology can be useful in agriculture. Similar
startups could also be established in dairy, fisheries, and other fields.
New
progress in innovation is visible in GIDA: CM Yogi said that GIDA has showcased
new progress in innovation to the nation and the world over the past nine
years. There was a time when GIDA had two industries. Those two industries had
a capital investment of only 29 to Rs. 30 crore. However, in the last nine
years, more than 350 industries have been established here, with investments exceeding
Rs. 17,000 crore. GIDA alone has created job opportunities for more than 50,000
young people. He said that similar to the plug-and-play model used to develop a
software park in GIDA, the government has also implemented a flattened factory
program here. A plastic park is also being developed in GIDA. Excellent
factories are being established here today. These factories will play a vital
role in giving new wings to the dreams of the youth here.
At the
ceremony, Ajitpal Singh, Minister of State for IT and Electronics, said that
under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, rapid progress is
underway to make Uttar Pradesh a leading state in IT and electronics. Member of
Parliament Ravi Kishan Shukla said that the appointment of a selfless saint as
Chief Minister has brought Ramrajya to Uttar Pradesh. Under CM Yogi's guidance,
investments worth Rs. 50
lakh crore have come to Uttar Pradesh.
Welcoming
the Chief Minister at the ceremony, STPI Director General Arvind Kumar said
that under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, investment is coming
to Uttar Pradesh. He said that this Software Technology Park built in Gorakhpur
will help the youth of the district and the state in increasing quality and

incubation space, a semi-furnished incubation space of the same area, an
auditorium with a capacity of 54 people, a state-of-the-art conference room, a
state-of-the-art network operations system, a cafeteria, and other necessary
facilities.
