
Nanded, 26 Mar (HS): In additional relief to farmers
Maharashtra Government has waived stamp duty on farm or crop loans up to Rs 2
lakh. The decision will be applicable from January 1, 2026. The directions
relating to the decision have been issued by the Joint Inspector General of
Registration and Superintend of Stamp Duty, Pune.
The stamp duty will not be charged on documents
relating to agreements, mortgage, and other documents related to crop loans up
to Rs 2 lakh. The banks, credit societies and finance agencies have been
instructed to strictly follow the directives.
